A home-test instruction check starts with the exact product and version

Identify the actual test

FDA provides educational material on home-use tests. For a particular item, the necessary document is its own applicable instructions. A demonstration of another kit or an article about a similar test does not establish how your version should be used.

Keep the identity complete

Record the maker, product name, model or identifier and instruction document date when shown. Retain the actual pack information privately. Do not guess a collection method, timing step or result window from a familiar-looking package.

Stay within the instruction boundary

This article does not tell you how to perform a specific test or interpret its result. If instructions are unclear or the item differs from the document, seek clarification through the actual maker or care service. No accuracy rating, regulatory approval or personal suitability conclusion is supplied for an unnamed product.
