Keep two questions separate
CDC discusses sleep quantity and quality as distinct aspects of sleep. A single duration can therefore leave an important part of a person’s experience unrecorded. Avoid interpreting a full-looking total as proof that the person felt restored.
Describe the experience rather than score it
In a personal note, keep remembered awakenings and how you felt after waking beside the estimated duration. Use ordinary descriptive words instead of assigning a clinical label or inventing an objective quality score. If a device supplies a score, record its source separately from your own account.
Use the note within its limits
The record can make a conversation more precise, but it does not identify the cause of unrefreshing sleep. It also does not verify a tracker or prove a routine works. An ongoing problem deserves appropriate assessment; this article offers no treatment and no assurance that hours alone resolve it.
